Jennifer Lawrence’s Rep Comments On Her Nude Photos Leak The photos have been confirmed as real
Earlier today we learned of the MASSIVE leak of personal, mostly naked photos that have been stolen from the private online storage “cloud” accounts of various female celebrities and right now, we are learning of the official statement by one of the more high profile victims of this leak. Jennifer Lawrence‘s press rep has issued an official statement concerning the leak of her naked photos, confirming that the photos in question are genuine. Obviously, J. Law is not happy about the leak of her personal photos … and her official statement makes that fact very clear. It’s short and to the point … read it in full below. "Ugh. The photos have been making the rounds all evening/night long but thankfully, they are being pulled down from various sites all over the place. Make no mistake, the photos will never go away — NEVER. But, for now, they are being taken offline left and right, primarily because webhosts do not want to get sued. I’m hearing that more photos may be leaked and that there are plenty more photos out there waiting to be released. It remains to be seen how long this photo scandal will last but, unfortunately, these photos will never completely go away. As they are taken down, they will be reuploaded again and again. What a nightmare."

Why would anybody put this in a "cloud" or anywhere else for that matter. You know that it's going to wind up hacked. It's always going to happen.
DUH to them. Hope they enjoy the publicity.

Apple is going to catch shit for this one. Blackberry was SO MUCH MORE secure but nobody liked it. Someone in her business is always going to get hacked. There's money and publicity in it. And just because she's famous it's all the more attractive to the attention seekers. Any hollywood star that puts nekkid pics of themselves anywhere other than their home pc is asking for trouble. And even the home pc isn't safe. But there's a much more reasonable expectation of privacy on your home pc with pics that you've never shared.

I have a vague memory that my iphone automatically uploads my pics to the cloud daily. Never really checked but have fun staring at pictures of my tile work from June.

i won't ever do banking- paying bills over the net... & i hate using my credit card on the interwebs, but that's unavoidable with dotcoms companies- if brick & mortars aren't close or don't exist. but real buildings aren't safe anymore either... look at what happened to target & last night home depot accounts was reported to have been hit.

Have you seen your avatar? Gaga isn't bothered by nudity. True dat. No modesty there. Or even faux modesty.

I have no pity for them either. Everyone in this day and age KNOWS the internet is NOT secure. And "celebs" know the general public is crazy/nuts for stuff (info, pics, gossip, nudes, etc) on/about them. If you (general) don't want your business hacked... don't put it out there to BE hacked.

I think that TMZ should be charged with receiving stolen property.

I think that TMZ should be charged with receiving stolen property. I agree... it wouldn't change anything though. The crime is a "Class A Misdemeanor": The worst penalty for a Class A Misdemeanor I could find is (this may not be the exact same one that would be imposed though, I freely admit that): Even at $1,000 per picture... it'd be money well spent for TMZ... for their reputation boost and their advertising boost. Look how many people are talking about them? You can't PAY for this kind of coverage.
