'The Breakfast Club:' Where are they now?
When five teens from totally different cliques at Shermer High School were given Saturday detention, they never thought they'd have so much in common. But watching Molly Ringwald, Emilio Estevez, Ally Sheedy, Judd Nelson and Anthony Michael Hall bond in 1985's "The Breakfast Club" was downright memorable. Since the film celebrated its 30th anniversary on Feb. 15 and is being screened in theaters across the nation between March 26-31, let's take a look at where the Brat Pack cast is today. 'The Breakfast Club:' Where are they now?Molly Ringwald played the pretty girl princess type Claire Standish in "The Breakfast Club." Between the success of 1984's "Sixteen Candles," "The Breakfast Club" and then 1986's "Pretty in Pink", director John Hughes helped to make Molly Ringwald one of the hottest teen stars. In her adult years she went on to star in films like 1994's "The Stand" and had a stint on the ABC Family TV series "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" before releasing an album in 2013. The once divorced actress is currently married to Panio Gianopoulos, with whom she has three kiddos.
In "The Breakfast Club," Emilio Estevez took on the role of the school athlete Andrew Clarke, who was known for being a champion wrestler. The same year as "The Breakfast Club" Emilio Estevez also starred in "St. Elmo's Fire," garnering him much acclaim. While raising his two kids from a relationship with model Carey Salley, he continued to act in popular movies like "The Mighty Ducks" franchise. And in 2006 he found his new niche as a writer and director for the film "Bobby." Charlie Sheen's brother was briefly married to Paula Abdul and since their 1994 divorce has since found love again with Sonja Magdevski.
Ally Sheedy played the outcast Allison Reynolds, who kept to herself in "The Breakfast Club." After dating rock stars like Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora, Ally Sheedy married actor David Lansbury in 1992. But after having a daughter the couple called it quits in 2008. She kept acting in films like "High Art" in 1998, but the '80s remain her high point with big hits like "St. Elmo's Fire" and "Short Circuit."
In "The Breakfast Club" Judd Nelson took on the role of the bad boy troublemaker John Bender. After "The Breakfast Club" and "St. Elmo's Fire" Judd Nelson went on to star in hit roles like "New Jack City" in 1991 and "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" in 2001. The never-married actor also had a long run on the popular TV series "Suddenly Susan" with Brooke Shields until 2000. He's currently filming his part in 2016's "Transformers 5."
Anthony Michael Hall played the stereotypical geek and bookworm Brian Johnson in "The Breakfast Club." Anthony Michael Hall had a lot of success in '80s films like "National Lampoon's Vacation," "Sixteen Candles" and "Weird Science." He expanded his career in movies like "Edward Scissorhands" in 1990 and "Six Degrees of Separation" in 1993. And then he did a 5-year run on the TV series "The Dead Zone" until 2007, while also singing in the band he formed dubbed Hall of Mirrors. He was last linked to Diana Falzone in 2009, but their romance ended with rumors of a physical altercation. Source

Brian Johnson: Dear Mr. Vernon, we accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong. But we think you're crazy to make an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us - in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. But what we found out is that each one of us is a brain... Andrew Clark: ...and an athlete... Allison Reynolds: ...and a basket case... Claire Standish: ...a princess... John Bender: ...and a criminal... Brian Johnson: Does that answer your question? Sincerely yours, the Breakfast Club.

It is still relevant and these young people did an incredible job as far as acting.

That's the thing about most (if not all) of the "Brat Pack" films from the '80's... they will, almost assuredly, always be "Relevant". That was the genus of the scripting, directing, and casting.
